For twenty-five years, Mary has worked to protect the rights of noncitizens, combat abusive conduct by immigration agents, and overturn unlawful policies of the immigration agencies. From 2003 to 2020, Mary was with the American Immigration Council, most recently as Directing Attorney of Litigation, where she engaged in impact litigation and authored numerous practice advisories. Kevin is a seasoned lawyer and compliance officer with more than 20 years of experience. Kevin is the General Counsel for Sirtex Medical, a medical device company in the Boston area. Prior to Sirtex, Kevin was VP & Associate General Counsel at Flexion Therapeutics and also previously the General Counsel for the Danaher Life Sciences Platform, managing legal and compliance matters for the platform. Before that, Kevin held several senior legal leadership positions within Novartis Pharmaceuticals in Basel and Cambridge, including as the General Counsel for the Novartis Molecular Diagnostics Unit. Before moving in-house, Kevin worked for multinational law firms in New York, Silicon Valley, and London.
Robin is a retired public-school teacher who taught for twenty years in high schools and middle schools in Texas and Maryland. Prior to teaching, Robin worked in a variety of industrial jobs for ten years. She currently is active in several volunteer capacities, including as the President of her neighborhood association, as a board member of a local food cooperative, tutoring at-risk children, and working with city-wide community organizations in Baltimore, Maryland.
Sylvia brings over 25 years of experience working as a project manager, strategic planner, and educator. She presently serves as the Director of the North Carolina Pro Bono Resource Center. Prior to this role, Sylvia worked for nearly 20 years at the University of North Carolina School of Law, where she last held the role of Assistant Dean for Public Service Programs. Before joining UNC, Sylvia served as the Legal Director for the Center for Immigrants’ Rights in New York City and as a legal aid attorney at Peninsula Legal Aid in Virginia. Read more.
