Justice Jackson Mentions NILA Amicus Brief at Supreme Court Argument

Yesterday, the Supreme Court heard argument in Bouarfa v. Mayorkas, a case that will address whether a federal court is barred from reviewing the revocation of a visa petition. During the argument, Justice Jackson raised the threshold question of whether the jurisdiction-stripping provision at issue in the case, 8 U.S.C. § 1252(a)(2)(B), even applied in the non-removal context. In her question, Justice Jackson specifically referencing the amicus brief authored by NILA, Northwest Immigrant RIghts Project, and Van Der Hout LLP, and joined by the American Immigration Council, which raised this issue.
