This webinar will provide an overview of the Supreme Court’s June 26, 2025 decision in Riley v. Bondi, which holds that (1) Board of Immigration Appeals decisions in withholding only proceedings do not constitute final orders of removal for purposes of judicial review and (2) the 30-day deadline for filing a petition for review at 8 U.S.C. § 1252(b)(1) is a non-jurisdictional claim-processing rule. The panel will discuss the holding and its implications for judicial review for individuals in removal proceedings and withholding-only proceedings, as well as those with final removal orders arising in immigration court removal proceedings pursuant to 8 U.S.C. § 1229a. The webinar will address when to file a petition for review and strategies for petitions for review that are untimely. To register, click HERE.
